Thank you for showing an interest in our Sixth Form.

Endorsed by OFSTED for its excellent teaching, West Hatch has an extensive range of A Level and vocational programmes. The Sixth Form is very well established with over 20 years A level teaching experience. It has a proven track record of academic success, with over a quarter of all A Levels graded A*- A and over half of all grades A*- B.

The outstanding outcomes have resulted in West Hatch Sixth Form being in the top 10 schools in Essex for Key Stage 5 results and the first 'non-selective' school on the list - an achievement we are incredibly proud of!

The curriculum is outstanding, challenging and flexible with targeted intervention and support put in place wherever it’s needed. We have high-quality, experienced and committed teachers.

We pride ourselves in developing outstanding young men and women, with our excellent pastoral care and enrichment opportunities. This is because we take very seriously our role in ensuring students are able to market themselves when they apply for jobs or higher education. This is a direct result of opportunities they are offered within our ’Honours Programme’ to develop initiative and leadership.

 Dear Prospective Students and Families,
 It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Sixth Form at West Hatch High School. As   Headteacher, I take immense pride in our thriving Sixth Form, a place where we   nurture both academic success and personal development. Having begun my   own journey at West Hatch over a decade ago as Assistant Headteacher   responsible for the Sixth Form, I have seen first-hand the incredible growth,   potential, and achievements that students reach during these important years.

Whether you are continuing with us or joining from another school, we are excited to have you embark on this new chapter of your educational journey.

As you consider joining our Sixth Form, know that we are here to support and challenge you every step of the way. We are proud of our students and the vibrant, dynamic learning community they help create. Together, let’s continue to build a place where everyone can truly *be the best they can be*.
