Parent Voice
DATE OF NEXT MEETING:
The next Parent Voice meeting will take place on Thursday 30th January 2025 at 6pm in the Library.
Minutes from the meeting on the 13th March 2024
Minutes from the Meeting on the 19th October 2023
All parents are welcome to join and discuss future events and have input into school life at our meetings.
West Hatch believe strongly in the importance of the relationship between Parents and the school. Parent Voice, is not a fundraising committee, it is a chance for Parents to feel part of important decisions relating to the school and their children’s education. The meetings are chaired by the Headteacher, and it is a wonderful opportunity to really feel a part of West Hatch
We meet every 2 months and we all have a chance to add items to the agenda and as well as the minutes being published on the website we are also emailed them individually.
A few examples of changes that have been suggested by Parent Voice
We kept work experience following requests from parent when a number of other schools were stopping it
We have introduced Information evenings for all year groups on how parents can support their sons and daughters together with information pertinent to their children's stage in their education this followed discussions with parents who wanted to be more involved.
The meetings are from 7pm in the School Library and last roughly 2 hours.
You are under no obligation to attend every meeting, but Parents who now have children in Year 11 & 12 are still members of Parent Voice, and can see the positive impact it has had in their children’s education by being involved in Parent Voice.
If you would like any further information please email on parentvoice@westhatch.net
We look forward to seeing you.
